FAIRLEY LEADERSHIP ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Each year Goulburn Murray Community Leadership (GMCL) partners with our long term supporters and employers to provide a number of scholarships to enable individuals from a variety of sectors, locations and special interests to participate in the Fairley Leadership Program.
In 2021 we are pleased to announce a total of 10 scholarships will be available. Please see below details of each scholarship and the applicable eligibility criteria.
Ken Sampson Fairley Leadership Memorial Scholarship
Full scholarship – valued at $6600
Criteria:
Reside in rural and regional Victoria
Have an understanding and awareness of natural resources and environmental health issues
Show a genuine interest in their community and community engagement
Be able to demonstrate leadership potential
Goulburn Murray Community Leadership Scholarship
Partial Scholarships – valued at $3,850 each (2 available)
Criteria:
Reside in rural and regional Victoria
Show a genuine interest in their community and community engagement
Be able to demonstrate leadership potential
(Participant’s contribution $2,750)
Gardiner Dairy Foundation
Full scholarship – valued at $6600 each (2 available)
Criteria:
Must work and or reside in a recognized Victorian dairy community;
Be directly engaged with any part of the dairy value chain
Show a genuine interest in their community and community engagement
Be able to demonstrate leadership potential
Young Farmer (Agriculture Victoria)
Full scholarship – valued at $6600
Criteria:
Must reside in rural and regional Victoria
Must be aged 40 years or under at the time of the application closing date
Must have an agriculture link or work in the ag supply chain
Ability to demonstrate leadership potential
Ability to commit the required time and energy to the program and to engage as an active learner
Show a genuine interest in their community and community engagement
Denis Tricks - Young Regional Leader – Funded by Williamson Foundation
Full scholarship – valued at $6600
Criteria:
Reside in rural and regional Victoria
Aged between 21 and 30 at commencement of program year
Able to demonstrate leadership potential
Show a genuine interest in their community
Women in Agriculture Victoria (Agriculture Victoria)
Full scholarship – valued at $6600
Criteria:
Be a rural or regional woman who permanently resides in Victoria
Be involved in agriculture or the agriculture supply chain
Able to demonstrate leadership potential
Be a Victorian Rural Women’s Network subscriber

Goulburn Valley Water Community Leader Scholarship
Full scholarship – valued at $6600
Criteria:
Reside in rural and regional Victoria
Show a genuine interest in their community and community engagement
Be able to demonstrate leadership potential
Moira Shire Council Community Leader Scholarship
Partial scholarship – valued at $5000
Criteria:
Must work or reside within the Moira Shire Local Government Area.
Show a genuine interest in their community and community engagement
Be able to demonstrate leadership potential
Williamson Foundation Scholarship
Full scholarship – valued at $6600
