"Not just a program, but a movement..."

THE 2025 REGIONAL MOBILISATION SUMMIT

What is it?

The Regional Mobilisation Summit aims to bring together community leaders and skilled individuals to foster self-sustaining community governance. By focusing on collaboration, practical action, and inclusive dialogue, the summit seeks to empower participants to address local issues, enhance volunteerism, and unite diverse voices in the community.

The 2025 Regional Mobilisation Summit is a powerful, action-focused event dedicated to amplifying the power of grassroots community leadership and showcasing the progress being made across our region. Facilitated by Make A Change and Scott Ko, this year's Summit focuses on celebrating what is working - the connections, actions and community-led initiatives already driving meaningful change.

Through presentations, local case studies, and interactive breakout sessions that provide tools for clarity, confidence, funding, and implementation, we will explore how communities are moving from conversation to action - and what it takes to turn passion into lasting impact.

In the lead-up to the Summit, GMCL has been travelling across the region as part of the Community Action Network (CAN) funded by FRRR – supporting Resilience Canopy Training and hosting Insight Sessions across various towns in the region. These sessions have captured lived experiences, identified strengths and challenges, and generated practical ideas for action. The insights gathered have directly informed the design of this year’s Summit, ensuring it reflects what matters most to our region.

What are the expected outcomes?

The summit aims to inspire collective empowerment, identify practical actions for community benefit, and motivate participants to volunteer their skills. Over the next year, these actions are expected to be implemented and measured, ensuring lasting benefits for the community.

By purchasing a ticket, you will receive access to the full Summit, catered morning tea and lunch, and the opportunity to connect with changemakers committed to building a thriving, future-ready region.
