THE REGIONAL MOBILISATION SUMMIT

What is it?

The Regional Mobilisation Summit aims to bring together community leaders and skilled individuals to foster self-sustaining community governance. By focusing on collaboration, practical action, and inclusive dialogue, the summit seeks to empower participants to address local issues, enhance volunteerism, and unite diverse voices in the community.

Why is it significant for the region?

Community organisations in rural areas are essential but often struggle with sustainability and leadership succession, largely due to their reliance on volunteers. While motivated leaders exist, there's a disconnect between their skills and the needs of these organisations. Addressing this gap in community governance is crucial for the resilience and growth of these groups.

What are the expected outcomes?

The summit aims to inspire collective empowerment, identify practical actions for community benefit, and motivate participants to volunteer their skills. Over the next year, these actions are expected to be implemented and measured, ensuring lasting benefits for the community.
