Through visits to local businesses, social enterprises and community organisations, the cohort examined how partnerships, inclusion and place-based leadership are creating positive change and strengthening the future of the region.

The 2026 Fairley Leadership Program cohort recently participated in a Greater Shepparton Place-based Day exploring leadership, regional challenges, community connection, and place-based leadership. Parts of the day were delivered jointly with the Williamson Community Leadership Program and included discussions around youth support, multicultural communities, First Nations leadership, regional advocacy, and the Goulburn Murray Regional Prosperity Plan.
