Nathan has been a pivotal leader and passionate advocate for community development, leaving a lasting impact on GMCL and the broader Goulburn Murray region. On behalf of the Board and the GMCL team, we extend our deepest gratitude to Nathan for his contributions and leadership.

Nathan Bibby said “I feel incredibly privileged to have served as Executive Officer of GMCL, working with emerging leaders and alongside talented and passionate team members. I am grateful for the amazing connections who have supported myself and played a pivotal role in evolving this great organisation. While this chapter comes to a close, I look forward to seeing GMCL continue making an impact in the years ahead.”

While we will greatly miss Nathan’s presence, we are excited to announce that Jessica Mitchell FF’23 will step into the role of Executive Officer. Jessica has been an important part of the GMCL team as Leadership Coach and brings not only her extensive experience but an unwavering commitment to empowering regional communities. Her collaborative approach and dedication to community development provides us with great confidence that she will build on the strong foundations Nathan has established, guiding GMCL toward continued growth and meaningful impact.

Jessica Mitchell said “Taking on the role of leading community capacity building programs is both a privilege and a meaningful responsibility. I’m excited to contribute to something I’m truly passionate about—empowering individuals and driving lasting change within our communities. This work is about more than just programs; it’s about creating real impact, building relationships, and nurturing a shared vision for strong leadership across our region. I’m committed to leading with purpose, integrity, and a deep respect for the communities we serve, knowing that each step we take brings us closer to the goal of ‘leading where you live.’ A heartfelt thank you to Nathan Bibby for his dedication and steady leadership. I look forward to collaborating closely with the Board to further develop community leadership capacity and continue making a meaningful difference."

This transition has been thoughtfully planned to ensure continuity in GMCL’s work and ongoing collaboration with our stakeholders. Nathan’s final day will be Tuesday, December 31. Jessica has commenced in the role Monday December 16 and they are already working on a smooth transition so that it is seamless into the new year.

GMCL will continue to finalise the Fairley Leadership Program for 2025 and will work on updating all stakeholders into the new year.

As we reflect on the achievements of the past four years, we are filled with gratitude for Nathan’s leadership and enthusiasm for the opportunities ahead with Jessica’s vision and guidance. To all our sponsors, alumni, stakeholders, and supporters: your continued partnership is the foundation of our impact, and we look forward to continuing our shared journey towards a better future for our communities together.
