Community Bank Kyabram Announces 50% Scholarship Contribution to Support Local Leader in the 2026 Fairley Leadership Program
Community Bank Kyabram has committed to funding 50% of a scholarship for a local participant in the 2026 Fairley Leadership Program. GMCL welcomes this contribution as a significant investment in grassroots leadership for the Kyabram district. GMCL is now calling on community partners to help fund the remaining 50% so a full scholarship can be offered to support an emerging local leader.

GMCL Alumni held its end of year networking event last week, bringing the GMCL alumni community together to reconnect, share ideas and celebrate the contribution of local leaders across the region.
GMCL Alumni reunited to strengthen networks and launch new initiatives for 2026, including “Crazy Socks for a Fairley Good Cause” to raise funds for the Alumni Scholarship. The event showcased the growing momentum of the alumni community and its commitment to supporting emerging regional leaders.

As part of Goulburn Murray Community Leadership’s (GMCL) ongoing commitment to building regional leadership and mobilising community action, July marks the launch of the Community Action Network (CAN) Hub — an exciting new initiative delivered in partnership with The Resilience Canopy. The CAN Hub is designed to translate leadership insights into practical, local impact through the Resilience Canopy Practitioner Training in Echuca.

Celebrating Cultural Diversity: Leadership Cohort Tours Greater Shepparton’s Multicultural Heart
The 2025 Cultural Bus Tour brought together Fairley Leadership participants, alumni, sponsors, and community stakeholders for an enriching day exploring Greater Shepparton’s multicultural and religious diversity. Delivered in partnership with the Ethnic Council, the tour visited cultural sites and places of worship, fostering deeper understanding and inclusive leadership across the region.
