2026 Fairley Leadership Cohort Builds Capability Through Leadership, Systems Thinking and Communication Workshops
The 2026 Fairley Leadership Program cohort recently travelled to Benalla for a day of leadership development, exploring leadership foundations, systems thinking, resilience, and communication. Through workshops led by regional experts, participants strengthened their leadership capability while gaining practical tools to navigate complexity, communicate with purpose, and create positive change in their communities.

Community, Culture and Collaboration at the Heart of Shepparton Leadership Gathering
The 2026 Fairley Leadership Program cohort recently participated in a Greater Shepparton Place-based Day exploring leadership, regional challenges, community connection, and place-based leadership. Parts of the day were delivered jointly with the Williamson Community Leadership Program and included discussions around youth support, multicultural communities, First Nations leadership, regional advocacy, and the Goulburn Murray Regional Prosperity Plan.

Fairley Leadership Program Explores Advocacy, Leadership and Regional Connections Through Melbourne Study Tour
Participants from the 2026 Fairley Leadership Program recently travelled to Melbourne for the annual Melbourne Study Tour, exploring advocacy, leadership, and the role regional voices play in shaping decision-making across Victoria. The study tour included visits to Parliament House, conversations with Members of Parliament and parliamentary staff, and a joint leadership session with Alpine Valleys Community Leadership Program participants.

Leaders in the Making: A Udderly Inspiring Dairy Day
Participants in the 2026 Fairley Leadership Program came together in Girgarre and Kyabram for Dairy Day, gaining first-hand insights into the dairy industry and its role in the Goulburn Murray region. Through conversations with farmers, industry leaders, and community representatives, the cohort explored key challenges and opportunities, strengthening their understanding of regional leadership, collaboration, and resilience.

Participants in the 2026 Fairley Leadership Program gathered in Nagambie for their first place-based day, exploring leadership in action across the Strathbogie region. Through insights from local leaders in emergency response, community resilience, tourism and regional development, the cohort gained a deeper understanding of how communities function and the role leadership plays in shaping resilient, connected and thriving regions.
